Install Mapnews as an app

Add to your home screen without going through an app store. Notifications, offline support, and the app icon all work.

iPhone / iPad (Safari)

  1. 1Open mapnews.app in Safari.
  2. 2Tap the Share button below (or above) the address bar.
  3. 3Scroll down and select "Add to Home Screen".
  4. 4Tap "Add" — the MapNews icon appears on your home screen.

Android (Chrome)

  1. 1Open mapnews.app in Chrome.
  2. 2Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the address bar, or the auto-shown "Install app" banner.
  3. 3Select "Install app" or "Add to Home screen".
  4. 4Launch from the home screen icon after installation.
